First Half of Week1 Negatainment.com Arena - It ain't Pretty

So Burlyballs and I did our first round of arena together since hitting 70. We got owned 1-4, but the time we won was against a combo indentical to ours (Ret Pally & MS Warrior) and we owned them.

More to come.

Oh and whoever that hunter is who keeps trying ot gank me while I level fishing in Hillsbrad (per this handy fishing/cooking guide): you're 0-2 baby; it's pretty sad when you get your ass kicked by someone who starts the fight with a fishing pole.

World of Warcraft Makes as Much Money in a Month as Facebook Does in a Year

So the breaking news today is that Facebook made roughly $150 in revenue in 2007. Given that WOW has 10 million subscribers who pay an average of $15/month, it's safe to say that WOW has owned Facebook in the revenue department. Is Facebook really worth $15b, almost as much as Ford motor company? Hell no, but Blizzard might be.

To sum up just how much WOW owned the shit out of Facebook: WOW is a game with a bunch of 50 year-old men masquerading as female elves whereas Facebook is the most comprehensive database of marketing data ever concieved, and yet they get curb stomped by a mindless herd of middle-aged men and asian teenagers in the revenue department?

OWNED.

I'll be taking calls all week to offer more expert analysis. Fury warriors can tank Blood Furnace, btw.

Noob of the Day #2 - Juxsta of Sargeras

Juxsta, a nubby 60 orc shaman was one of our first griefing victims in Outland. We were out farming Talismans by Zeth'Gor when we saw a 60 shaman make a quick jab towards us when he saw only our healer, then run with his tail between his legs when the other two of us came at him like a pair of rabid spider monkeys.

First and foremost: that was pretty funny watching you try and hearth before I popped charge on your ass and lit you up like a Christmas tree.

Second your gear is shitty for players in the high 40s; the fact that you're wearing it at 60 is hilarious. Get PL'd or something?

Third, when you resurrect, you should probably move at least 50 units away from the three Alliance that killed you; that's probably why we killed you, again.

Fourth: one of the fundamental rules of griefing is that if you have to call in level 70s to do your work for you, you've lost and should /rlquit.

Noob of the Day #1 - Hilarious Reactions

Negatainment's first installment of Noob of the Day was a smash hit with the crowd as we've been subject to some hilarious responses, first with Denalan's in-game reaction (featured below:)

Denalan has since gone onto the original thread and left us with a few hilarious pieces of wisdom:

LOL! Ok first of all I beat him in a couple of duels like he said. Then they bring in a healer who is using a lvl 29 green staff and a lvl 25 chest peice, needless to say...we wiped on the first pull... After waiting earlier about 20 mins on the 'healer' we proceed to wait another 15 or so mins just for no reason... Then next thing I know i get kicked from the group, so what do I do? I said gl on your run and thx for wasting my time. Now he calls me the noob right? Well lets see who is really a noob. First of all who makes a website and posts people on it because they make him mad in a game... Its almost as if this game is his life or something eh, but who am i too judge. I'm just a good for nothing BM hunter who didnt feel like wasting time lol. Oh yeah and btw, thats a nice screenshot man =D and keep up the good work 'virtually' harassing people bc they make you mad, it will help you alot in life.

On a quick aside, our healer is amazing.

Since then he has gone on to compare our behavior to 9/11 in some totally weird way that I don't understand, but whatever. Let the win roll in.

Noob of the Day #1 - Denalan of Sargeras

A World of Warcraft website that specializes in griefing wouldn't be complete without profiling some of the horrible, horrible WOW players we come across during our adventures on Sageras and Malfurion, so today I bring you our first, ever, Noob of the Day.

Today we honor Denalan of Sargeras, a beast master hunter who is a total and complete nooblet.

notd1

So we had a couple of duels and Denalan won; what do you expect when a fury warrior takes on a hunter of the same level? But they were close. I didn't suspect any noobliness right away, but then it happened.

As we were waiting in BRD, the guy kept whining on and on about "how long we were going to take" and "you guys need to get a healer," as though our stoned druid in full greens wasn't good enough. Pffft. What a jack ass. So we went ahead and loaded up our 70 mage, kicked Denalan's whining ass out of the group, and began effortlessly raping BRD.

So hat's off to Denalan, our very first Noob of the Day.

Note to Blizzard: Get a NEW ISP

If you're reading this note, my guess is that you've seen the login MEGA FAIL screen as featured on WOW Insider. There is nothing that I want to do more right now than ding 52 on my warrior and start hitting up BRD so I get this lame leveling over with, but no. Now, I have to brush the dust off of this blog, revamp it, download and start making a new theme.

If I'm Blizzard, a company with 9 million subscribers paying roughly $12/month to enthusiastically snort what's largely considered to be the digital form of cocaine, the last thing I would let happen is for my ISP to on a Saturday night, when every single WOW player is logging in, hoping to escape from their shitty, shitty lives for a few miserable hours. But no, Blizzard fails.

Oh hey, servers are back up, at least for the next few minutes!
