World of Warcraft Makes as Much Money in a Month as Facebook Does in a Year

So the breaking news today is that Facebook made roughly $150 in revenue in 2007. Given that WOW has 10 million subscribers who pay an average of $15/month, it's safe to say that WOW has owned Facebook in the revenue department. Is Facebook really worth $15b, almost as much as Ford motor company? Hell no, but Blizzard might be.

To sum up just how much WOW owned the shit out of Facebook: WOW is a game with a bunch of 50 year-old men masquerading as female elves whereas Facebook is the most comprehensive database of marketing data ever concieved, and yet they get curb stomped by a mindless herd of middle-aged men and asian teenagers in the revenue department?

OWNED.

I'll be taking calls all week to offer more expert analysis. Fury warriors can tank Blood Furnace, btw.

Interesting analysis. One wonders how even the WOW leviathian pales into comparison of the revenues generated by your site, with its expert analysis.

We make trillions of dollars with our sponsorships for how hard we own. Next question.
